How To Achieve Model Pins While Walking

By RunDNA

When it comes to exercise and reaching those fitness and body goals, we all like to add in a little extra something to help us maximise each session. Toning those stubborn areas of the body such as the thighs always requires a little extra attention. So why not speed up the process by doing absolutely nothing? Well, not quite nothing... simply strap some ankle weights on to reach those Victoria's Secrets pins quicker. When it comes to toning, adding resistance to each workout is key and ankle weights offer such an option. Here are the top 4 reasons you should be adding them to your walk, run and gym workout.

1.Increasing resistance: Ankle weights are an easy way to add or increase resistance during those less strenuous exercises such as walking and bodyweight exercises such as leg lifts and lunges.

2. Strengthening non-leg muscles: While attached to your ankles, ankle weights can help strengthen muscles in other areas depending on the workout. As an example, if used during pull up’s, they will add more weight to each repetition helping build muscles in your arms and upper body.

3.Increased resistance during water workouts: Applying ankle weights during water aerobics is an easy way to add resistance without adding pressure to joints.

4.Toning: While many of us think that toning comes down to repetition, we are more likely to see results from those leg lifts by adding resistance.
