So your kids have just started their fourth new hobby leaving those tennis rackets and football shoes to collect dust in the ever-expanding ‘hobbies’ cupboard. Next on the hit list is basketball, so before they switch to another sport you figure they can have a few practices in their regular runners. In a sport in which agility and jumping is key, ankle protection becomes increasingly important. In fact, basketball shoes are one of the most important shoes on the market.The hard surface of basketball courts also means basketball shoe manufacturers had to respond by creating a complex cushioning system to reduce impact stress.
