I was really wanting to like these shoes. I'm moving from being a long term user of Brooks Cascadia shoes for thru-hiking. I typically do a >1,000 km backpack annually and walk another 1000 kms training.
I purchased these mail order in my usual (up-) size (1 size larger than I measure and extra wide to allow for foot swelling). I tried them on when they came and liked the fit. Unfortunately, I quickly found that there is no room for my custom orthotics which are much thicker than the insert the shoe comes with. The orthotics pushed my feet to the top of the shoe and made them pinch at the base of the toes. So these are totally unsuitable for my purposes. I'll proably use these pairs for training without the orthotics but I would not buy another pair now that I know that, unlike the Cascadias, there is no room for inserts.

The service from the purchase site was excellent. The product is comfortable but not long lasting. I used mine every couple of days to walk around the block 2km mainly on the grass verge. After 7 months a large part of the tread underfoot started falling off. Apparently Hoka only give a 6 month warranty, but under Australian consumer law it can be extended. Wasn’t worth the battle so I just bought another pair but maybe buyers should beware or check your shoes just shy of 6 months in case you need to claim. Hoka could do better!
