The 1000 Mile UP Plantar Fascia sock helps relieve pain and tension associated with plantar fasciitis while you sleep.
Plantar fasciitis refers to the inflammation of the weight-bearing connective tissue (plantar fascia) that runs from your heel through the arch of your foot and the base of the toes.
This may be a result of overtraining, overpronation, running on hard surfaces or wearing footwear with inadequate support or cushioning.
This knee-length sock gently raises the foot from the toe-end. Holding this stretch overnight promotes healing of the plantar fascia tissues in this optimal position.
It helps prevent the tightening of plantar fascia and calf muscle and provides relief of associated heel pain. The following day you will be able to walk more comfortably with reduced tension of the tissues.
Directions: Undo Velcro fastener. Place stocking over foot and pull up towards the knee. Ensure it fits smoothly with no wrinkles, D-ring goes to the front.
Gather any slack around the ankle. Fasten the upper Velcro strap lightly round the leg below the knee. Fasten the strap through the D-ring, and tension so the toes are 'just' off the floor when the foot is flat on the floor.
DO NOT over-tension (dorsi-flex) the foot as this will lead to discomfort overnight.
